Inland Estuary

This was a weird one. An inland tidal estuary. The River Yar runs between Freshwater Bay & Yarmouth and the western bit of the Isle of Wight was apparently an island itself. Not quite sure what the geography of it all is but you can walk the 4 miles along the river bank including a causeway & its all a bit odd. Nice, but odd. Here the tide was going out. If you look you can see Mr & Mrs Swan and Swan Junior having a lovely time in the shallows.
