An seachdamh leatha deug.

The plan today had been to spend an hour or so at the Seamus Heaney Homeplace in Bellaghy and then drive (a lot) further south to townlands other ancestors had lived. However I decided to leave the later for a future visit as a quick look on Google Earth suggests the countryside is hugely different from where we are.

This allowed us to spend more time at Homeplace which I thoroughly enjoyed. Very different from the Seamus Heaney Exhibition I went to in Dublin on our bookgroup visit. I came away with a stronger sense of what people and places meant to Seamus Heaney. Afterwards we followed a trail taking us to some of the places which has inspired him. Books were also bought. A grand day out.

Our hotel is in a retail park a mile or so outside Coleraine. I jokingly said to T it would be good if there was a cinema here. Turns out there is and so we are now off to see Outrun after which we will have supper.
