WHAT DO YOU DO...
...when the rain is lashing down and you want to go out to do some shopping, but don’t really have to go?
Well, you could go out and get drowned, but I just didn’t feel like it today, so stayed in and played with some pot pourri in a dish, turned it pink - although there were splashes of it - and then found an app that would make it look even better.
Mr. HCB went out for a walk this morning with his friend, but because of a very heavy downpour, instead of doing some bird watching afterwards, he came home and looked like a drowned rat - which did have some bearing on me not going out this afternoon, I must admit!
My friend, Gill, came round for coffee this morning and we had a good catch up - I think she stayed longer than she would have done because the rain was coming down so hard - and I really do mean rain of Biblical proportions.
Meanwhile, the contractors are making an even bigger mound of mud and concrete on the patch of green just down from our house - not a good job to be doing in this sort of weather, but Mr. HCB says they have cleared some of the mud off the road, which is just as well, because otherwise it would have been on our drive and perhaps even brought into the house.
Mr. HCB and I sat and watched some sentimental rubbish on Amazon Prime this afternoon, and amazingly, he didn’t make too many rude comments! I was underneath my electric throw, so was warm and snuggly and really didn’t want to get up to make our evening meal, but thought if I didn’t, then I might be tempted to eat chocolate tonight!

Thinking about those who are likely to be affected by Hurricane Kirk in the United States - our rain has been torrential - and here it comes again - but nothing like a hurricane, thankfully.
Take care if you need to go out, especially in this awful weather. M xx
P.S. I have just been reminded that you can CLICK more than once a day - I think every two hours!
