Fly Agaric

Today we decided to go to Hartsholme/Swanholme to look for fungi, particularly Fly Agaric - my favourite ones. I think. We had a lovely walk, and saw many other types of fungi as well as these. There are another couple of mushrooms and some lichen in extras. As we walked back to the car it began to rain but we haven't had as much as was forecast.

We arrived home to find that the postman had delivered an ear mite treatment for Minstrel, which we later administered. How does an indoor cat get fleas, worms, ear mites etc.? Minstrel seems to be a parasite magnet at the moment.

He sat with me on the sofa whilst I watched several (because of the cuteness!) YouTube videos on How To Give Ear Drops To Your Cat. They always choose the most unbelievably docile cats to appear in these videos - I swear Minstrel was laughing at them! That said, we followed the instructions and between Brian and I, it was a relatively easy job. The ear drops smell lovely, like incense! Minstrel didn't find the experience too unpleasant either and enjoyed the recommended treats after, of course.

Tomorrow we plan to crack on with the Yoga Room and hopefully go out for a meal in the evening.
