Tomatoes
It was a damp, but bright morning. I went for a quick walk, as a warm up and precursor to m y first run in over a month. I thought the sun was trying to break through, and maybe it was, but it did not succeed. I bumped into a friend who was out dog walking. We only had a brief chat, but agreed to make plans for a pre-Christmas night out. Once home, I changed into my running shoes, bit the bullet and headed out for a very slow six miles run. It rained on and off, but at least it was never very heavy. I was pretty damp by the time I got home though, but I enjoyed getting out again. BB had appeared when I got back home, and TT had returned from church.
TT and I got ourselves ready to head out for lunch. We met up with friends at their golf club – not too far from here, and enjoyed a lovely late lunch. The food was lovely – and there was lots of it, and the wine flowed. All in all it was a lovely afternoon, and I most definitely ate and drank far too much. When we got back home, I went out for a wee walk, to walk my lunch off, and it definitely did help. I didn’t need to eat again, but found myself snacking on some chocolate later this evening. After the Sunday evening calls to the parents, TT and I watched some TV.
An emergency blip today, some of TT’s home-grown tomatoes. Not sure what we’ll do with them, but I am thinking of roasting a batch..
