With all this beauty around me, I had been waiting for the right time to do some crafts. Today was the day.

After a lazy breakfast, (I am trying to slow my pace in general) I got out my paints. I am most definitely not an artist. I am good at other crafts, but not painting. But I do enjoy having a go. Had it been warm and sunny, rather than cold and rainy I would have liked to sit on the beach and paint from still life. Instead I did this from a photo from yesterday. A bit brighter than it should have been. Any way, it got it out of my system and at 11.30 it had stopped raining, so I walked to The Copper Kettle and got a table for one. Coffee, cake and my magazine.

Then a walk to another bit if beach with a new view of the castle. Inspired by this I got out my note book and wrote a very quick poem.

Back for the afternoon and I have been making earrings. All good therapy. I think tomorrow I'll do more of the same.

Had a hot bath and now watching tv. Can't miss Bake Off!!
