Wound up in Wexford

The view from Conor Pass

Another day of sunshine and rain, with several lovely rainbows.

First thing, we drove towards Killarney, then over The Gap of Dunloe.  We had driven this just a few weeks ago, when visiting Kerry with my daughter, and predicted that they would like the scenery.  We were right.  The weather was at this point still very damp, with some rain, lots of low lying cloud, and water pouring off the hillsides in torrents and streams (1st extra).

We stopped for drinks at The Avoca cafe at Molls Gap (2nd extra).

Then, because I love making W drive on the narrowest possible roads!!, we drove up through the Ballaghbeama Gap, but as the weather at this point was pretty persistent rain, we didn't stop for photos.

We lunched in Killorglin, whilst deciding what to do with the rest of the day.  Opted for a short foray onto the Dingle Peninsula.

Drove down the coast, stopping for photos at Inch beach (3rd extra) and again a little later when our views across to the Kerry Peninsula were rather moody (4th extra).

We made a very brief stop in Dingle town, before venturing across the Conor Pass (main blip is a view from the top back towards Dingle, 5th extra is the view to the north coast) to the north coast, and thence home.
