Craning But Not Fishing

Today's images were taken at a stop off in Maidstone after our usual food shop and customary pint at The Horseshoes.
These shots were captured in the grounds of the Archbishops Palace. It almost feels like a hidden area of the town down a small set of steps to where a tributary of the Medway, the River Len, wends its way towards its final destination at Mote Park.
My main image just amused me due to the juxtaposition of the prohibited fishing sign and the crane in the background from some nearby construction work with the different angles of the fishing rod and the crane boom.
My extra shows the path of the River Len as it traverses through the town's urban landscape with its accompanying overhanging vegetation.
