a lifetime burning

Waving not drowning

If I'd tried to take this shot yesterday it would have been a very very soggy Dunnock, even if it had been sheltering under the bush.  But as you can see, while the light isn't great, it's largely been dry so far today.

Most of my day has been taken up with trying to diagnose what has gone wrong with our dishwasher and reluctantly conceding that I need to get an engineer in to fix it.  The engineer has finally been booked for a week's time and in the interim Cathy and I are the dishwashers.  How did we ever manage without one? :-). First world problems, eh.
