An t-ochdamh latha deug.
This morning we headed out to the Giant's Causeway, using our NTS membership to gain entry to the Visitor Experience Centre and its carpark.
We arrived just after 10 and it was starting to get busy but not overly so. It is somewhere I have long wanted to visit and although it was different - I thought the columns would be wider - it did not disappoint. T&I walked together to the Finn McCool's Organ Pipes (extra). T then completed the cliff top walk and I returned to further explore the shoreline and spotted two little white egrets, a cormorant and a gannet.
We then drove to see the Dark Hedges made famous by Game of Thrones. We baulked at the £5 parking charge and so T dropped me off and drove round to meet me at other end. It was interesting to walk through the avenue of trees but I was sad to see that so many had been defaced by people carving initials into them.
Another fine day.
