Blakeney

For reasons I won't go into here we've not had a great week this week.  So today we decided to treat ourselves to lunch at the excellent Blakeney Hotel.

We had every intention of pushing the boat out with three courses but W backed off the starter so she could have a dessert.  The main courses were really good and filling, so it ended up that neither of us could manage anything sweet afterwards.  A lovely relaxed place to sit for a couple of hours enjoying our meal and a glass of wine, with a view out across the quay and the marsh.  We had good intentions of a walk afterwards before coming home, but that ended up as just a leisurely stroll along the quayside.

We're off on holiday on Saturday (I know, again) so with preparing for that and other things going on I haven't had a whole lot of time to spare for ourselves (and that includes looking and commenting on blip).  I'll try and catch up tomorrow as I know I won't be able to once we go away.
