Space Tortoise.

On a day when it's been dull, damp and dreary I thought I'd blip the bits and bobs I'm gradually collecting ready for a new display at work as a change from a "Queensbury does fog and rain" blip!! :-P

Space Tortoise is a book about a little tortoise who has a cosy home in a bin in a rather neglected park. He wishes he had some company but when he sees the night sky he thinks he spots candles...and there must be other animals living up there. He wonders how to get there!

Space Tortoise searches for a space ship and stumbles upon what he thinks is a rocket, but turns out to be a clock tower! He may not find a rocket but he does find a little mouse who brings him friendship.

It's a lovely book with magical illustrations which has inspired my class to write some lovely pieces of work. :-)
