Raindrops on Yucca Buds

Several light showers this morning, utterly welcome, and already making such a difference. The dust has settled, birds are happy, and so are the plants. The cats less so, and keep complaining at us.

Picked the last quinces, lots of rotten bits, but a panful of fragrant pink slices for dessert tomorrow, might make a pecan crumble topping, or might just serve it warm, with mascarpone. We've invited some of the Sem Fim folk for lunch.

Gratefuls:
- 4mm of rain!
- seeing a gorgeous fox as we came back from Reguengos
- a new doormat

Sorry, but not grateful for the huge increase in flies, especially irritating when sitting on you as you're trying to concentrate on a Zoom call.

(No news from Florida family as yet.)
