Just Jax

The day nearly got away from me before I realized I didn't have a blip today.  One of the many wonderful things about having pets is that one never really has an excuse for not taking some photos.  Fortunately, Jax was in his late afternoon "activity" period so we had some fun out in the yard throwing the ball, chasing leaves, and just being silly.  I like this one because...well, the ears, obviously!  Second choice in Extra, carrying his pink ball in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Had a very enjoyable walk with my friend this morning.  I didn't get any decent shots but we did see many small birds along the trails.  The winter sparrows have started arriving and the woods were alive with the songs of the white throated sparrows, one of the sweetest songs of all the sparrow species.  It was a perfect day, sunny and mild.

Tomorrow Jax has day care so I plan to do work on adjusting the settings on both of my mirrorless cameras for the weekend.  Honestly, it would be extremely helpful if a black bear wandered through the yard tomorrow just so I could practice black animals in direct sun!  (Kidding).

Keeping close track of the weather in FL and hoping all my friends in the sunshine state stay safe during what looks to be a monster storm.
