The Handley Monument

Today was the sequel to last Tuesday’s adventure when Biskit explored Sleaford Station, as we returned to collect Mrs W’s new specs.  The opticians are at extra taken from the monument while waiting for Mrs W.  That’s her buggy outside the shop.

The monument is in honour of Henry Handley, who was a member of the Handley family around Sleaford in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.  I’ve been visiting Sleaford since we moved here twenty years ago and have only just found that out today.

Mrs W was amused by Biskit looking in every doorway and shop window as we walked around from the station car park.

Fish supper tonight as the hound was on a sleepover so we didn’t get to Bourne yesterday evening.
