A bit of a shock

So first thing this morning I was making a check on the weather for the next few days before I finished packing for a London visit. It was quite a shock to see ‘hurricane force winds’ forecast for today and Friday, especially as we would be, in a few hours, getting a train. (The message saying this forecast was ‘wrong’ didn’t appear until much later.)

As there are now apparently many people who have been led to believe that Hurricane Milton was ‘engineered’, I did just wonder whether someone had managed to do the same here . . . no I didn’t! How anyone can start false ideas like that when there are so many people in great distress is beyond belief.

Anyway we had a pleasant, and peaceful, train journey and are now in my favourite (and most expensive) Premier Inn at Kings Cross. We are even in a Premier Plus room - with a coffee machine!

We have plans for the next few days . . . exciting plans. And I think we may get some lovely weather . . . with no wind!
