Remarkably Well

After an early night it was surprisingly an early start and feeling well. Coffee, camp cooked breakfast followed by a long hot shower and I was ready for the day.
Saturday at Oktoberfest usually follows a pattern, once the washing up is done, showers taken and we are all ready we walk up to the main area. Check out the concessions, look at some of the vans, campers, tents etc and get a coffee from the mobile barista.
A walk along the riverbank brings us back to the ‘Lower Field’ where we are camped early afternoon, time for a relaxed afternoon drinking coffee, dozing and talking all things camping.
A cheeseburger followed intermittent snacking and we were ready for the evening. Time for just a couple of beers and a pulled pork roll before the highlight of the day, ‘The Bootleggers Turn’ group onstage in the tent, two hours of amazing music which included an ABBA cover.
Back down the hill to the vans for a nights sleep, not alcohol induced this evening.
