The Morning After

Wow, late last evening what a storm and a half!
Sheet lightning and the bang, crash wallop of thunder mixed in with torrential rain.
Just when you thought it had passed over, back it came again with renewed vim and vigour.
At least I was spared the chore of watering the tubs and hanging baskets!
Woke this morning to a refreshing feel in the air with the mist coming in off the sea and swirling up the valley, following the course of the local river.
There is something reassuring in the knowledge that this somewhat scorched earth of ours, having had so many continuous days of such high temperatures, has now duly been replenished of much needed water by Mother Nature and her spectacular show of sound and light!
