Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

So chuffed!

Ali and the girls came over today. Now she's three Josie has decided she doesn't need a nap anyway longer. Bonnie on the other hand clearly still does so she and her mum both disappeared upstairs.
Josie and I decided we would make up the Bluey cupcake mix which just happened to be in my cupboard! Actually I prefer to think of them as fairy cakes but I think that's a generational thing!
I picked some raspberries out of the garden and we added them as additional decoration to the four we shared here. She took the rest home. She was very proud of herself.
Other than that: I wrote a pile of letters (Blethers will understand!) which was a weight off my mind; I visited our magazine editor with some material from last night's meeting,, including an image of Kitchener I'd adapted this morning for our use; delivered a set of Ali's keys to the garage so we can drop off the car on Sunday night for them to investigate what it's hopefully a very cheap to fix knocking sound on Monday!
This evening I made a rich mushroom sauce to serve with some chicken fillets, very tasty it was too.
We're watching an Elvis '68 comeback special. He was very impressive although I was too young to appreciate him at the time.
Here we are back at Friday night again, have a good weekend everyone.

What wonderful images of the aurora last night. We missed the best of it I think as we were involved in a meeting, but we did drive down to Silverknowes prom at around 10.00pm.
I added a couple of late extras to last night's blip, but they don't match up to some of the wonderful images I've seen on blip and FB today. Still I'm glad to have seen the lights at last.
