Kayaking at Caesar Creek
Friday 4 October
With another pleasantly hot sunny day on the cards, and not much wind, we thought it was a great afternoon for a paddle. We drove up to Caesar Creek State Park and went to the boat dock near the entry creek. There weren’t many cars in the car park, so it seemed we would have a nice quiet paddle. We first paddled up stream until it got too shallow, and I loved the scene with the perfect reflections of the bridge in the still water. Then we returned to our starting point and headed into the main part of the lake, to a large cove we discovered when we were camping there a few weeks back, which I nicknamed Cormorant Cove, since there were so many birds there. A total of about 5 miles.
