Brightwell’s Transport

Brightwell’s Transport, across the road, has DAs plastered on its frontage - that’s one on the middle window. The whole site is to be redeveloped as an apartment complex with a new walkway connecting it to Erskineville station. This building will be retained and repurposed as a childcare centre and café.

I like this last trace of Erskineville’s industrial past and will be sad to see Brightwell’s go. I hope they survive even further out.

I noticed the jacarandas against the brick a couple of days ago, but the light was better late this afternoon.
