The Feast Day of Saint Wilfrid of York. Born 633, died 709. Patron Saint of Ripon and Middlesbrough. St. Wilfred was a prolific builder of Churches, and founder of monasteries. He initiated the rebuilding of York Minster.

Also, The Feast Day of Saint Ethelburga of Barking. Saint Ethelburga was a contemporary of Saint Wilfrid and the first Abbess of a monastery for men and women.She was the sister of a Bishop and is remembered for living an upright life.she died circa 676.

Saint Carlo Acutis. Patron saint of Media. Born in London and died aged15. Wrote about Eucharistic Miracles.

This Saturday is peaceful and homely here and there are many blessings to count. I waited about an hour before going to the Best One shop, because it was low temperature and possibly earlier there was frost on some car roofs. The Autumn trees are lovely and care is needed walking on them as they cover paths. It is a glorious colourful time with much beauty as the Lord reigns and we go on with our lives.
So I shall be home, and keeping out of the rain.
