Northern Lights
Walked into Holmfirth for Soul Choir this evening. It was a challenging session, but fun - a run-through for Saturday's gig in Marsden (which I shan't be singing at, unfortunately).
Judith gave me a lift up the hill, and we sat in her car and chatted for a while before I walked across the road and down the track to our house. On the way, I realised that there was a bright red streak in the sky. After a while green appeared too (extra, how it looked with the naked eye). For the first time ever, the right place at the right time to see the Northern Lights! Amazing!
It was cold outside, so I dashed indoors and put on a warmer jacket before going out again to take a few more shots with the iPhone camera in Night mode, with 3 sec shutter time (main Blip).
By the time MrM drove home from the music session in Huddersfield, the phenomenon was no longer visible, though it seems that it occurred intermittently for a couple of hours after that.
