The cobbles of St Anne’s Square

Had to pop into Manchester this lunchtime for a meeting with a couple of ex work colleagues who are now part of the newly formed Manchester Region committee.

Some of you may recall Norm & I, with Anne’s help, used to run the retired fellowship pre covid, but sadly we lost N & A meaning the Region hadn’t met since xmas 2019……that’s until 24th of this month :-)

I took this photo of the church just after i came out of a coffee shop….. then crossed the square towards the big planter near the top right corner, that’s where I went an absolute “cropper” as they say!!

Never felt pain like it, a lot of people rushed to my aid, but i was so shaken, very pale & clammy, I knew instantly I’d broken something!

Ultimately an ambulance was called, off to Manchester Royal, x-rays, pain relief then decided it needed manipulation, after bloods & ECG, I was “put to sleep” before a temporary cast was put on it.

I fell at 3pm, got home at half past midnight. C came all the way from Lincoln to get me, god bless him.
