Back down to earth
A dull day today, though the sun was bright coming over the hill initially. Spent some time on photographs in the morning then went out to begin chopping up the branches that I'd pruned off the trees a few weeks ago. I'll need to put them in the back of the car in a bulk bag to take them to the dump some time when I feel a bit more like lifting!
After lunch I went out for a walk around the local roads. My Blip today is looking down on the Corran Halls, Oban's exhibition space, where The Royal National Mòd is based this week. For those outwith Scotland, the Mòd is a week-long festival that celebrates Gaelic culture through music, dance, drama, literature, sport, and more. My extra today, seen from the same high viewpoint, is of the Clansman coming into harbour.
Back home after a long chat with a nearby neighbour. After living in her house for 40 years she can no longer cope with the stairs and the garden, so she’s moving in with a daughter who lives not far away. Her granddaughter will be taking over her house, so she’ll still be able to visit and see her garden. I shall miss my regular chats as I walk up and down the road!
