Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan–ATLAS!!

OK, Blip redo!

Went off to Sem Fim, but before we got there, engine warning light went on. No success fixing it, so we limped home. BUT, from where we were stopped at side of road, eventually managed to see the "comet of the century", and to get a photo, even without a tripod. Around another 80 million years before we see it again, so pretty exciting, as possibly won't be around then.

Original Blip relegated to extra:
Today Portugal is celebrating the last appearance of the mother of Jesus to three young shepherd children in 1917 - known as Our Lady of Fátima because that was the name of the nearest village. This is her image, and of the three children (the two on the left died of the Spanish flu soon after the apparition; Lúcia, on the right, became a nun and lived to 97) in the church here.

Fátima nowadays is very impressive, especially the new sanctuary, and there will be thousands of pilgrims there today.

Just off to Sem Fim...

Gratefuls:
- forgot to say yesterday, but car gave up just as we were almost home yesterday; Mike has been working on it a lot of the day, and we think it's fixed... (false hope, but at least we’ve got home again)
- great time singing at the Adega
- seeing two of my grandkids this afternoon (virtually)
