Fungus Fun
Having settled into my S.Wales cottage for a long weekend, the plan for today was to walk to the nearby RSPB Cwm Clydach nature reserve. apart from the birds I was also hopeful for some fungi and waterfalls. Having rechecked the OS map route I decided the round walk might be a bit ambitious if carrying a lot of camera kit, so instead drove down to the car park … down being the operative word!
I had a lovely walk along the Lower Clydach River up to the Pont Llechart, a bridge across the river (extra) and back down through woodlands. I saw plenty of waterfalls and cascades, a few mushrooms and even fewer birds who easily evaded my lens.
Still it gave me the chance to play with my macro lens and focus stacks. I believe these are baby honey fungus.
