Newly Installed Pastor
Hubby had to be at my mother’s church by 8:30. He picked me up on the way. We have known Fr. Keith since he was an altar server at our parish many years ago. His mom and I went to Switzerland together to study French in our Junior year of high school. She was a great role model. Hubby and I would discuss how we thought her son would be a priest one day. We thought we were wrong when he went to a regular college after high school. I guess he discerned the call to the priesthood later. And he is a great shepherd to his flock; such a good homilist. We were unfamiliar with this bishop but he was warm and friendly. We visited my mother after Mass and the reception. My sister Barbara and her husband were there. They go down on Saturday or Sunday, play cards with Momma, take her to Mass in the evening and have dinner. The Knights were having their monthly chicken dinner fund raiser. We picked ours up on the way home. Momma will get her three later. Parker was home. He enjoyed his unexpected lunch. Hubby went home and worked on my finances. This is the first year we must take a portion from some of our accounts. When I need a new vehicle, it will come in handy. Otherwise, I have rested today or let the pups drag me around the neighborhood. Renee prepared Parker’s favorite pasta for his evening meals; he simply heats the amount he wants. No need for Grammy to cook for him. She left all his and the pups snacks in daily portions. She could not have done more to make my stay easier. I will go home tomorrow for a bit after Parker leaves for school and come back to let the dogs out occasionally. The travelers are enjoying themselves. Wishing you a week as carefree. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “A pastor devoted to giving so much, God only knows all the souls that you touch. Committed to serve when you answered God's call, you prove it by being a servant to all.” - unknown
