Battersea

It’s been a much colder day today. I caught the train into London and met up with my son. He showed me his new apartment which is very nice and then we went for a walk along the river to Battersea Power Station. It has changed so much since I worked in London a very long time ago. There are many high rise buildings around the old power station of various designs with some nice landscaping in place.

We stopped for an enjoyable lunch before venturing into the old power station. It’s certainly very spectacular inside with lots of shops and eating places and even a cinema. We explored the area around with me taking various photos. This one shows the old chimneys from the power station peaking behind the new buildings.

After saying goodbye to my son l returned to my friends house. She phoned a friend in America on the off chance and we all enjoyed catching up with each others news. Having spoken to another old university friend yesterday we also conveyed her news on. Nice to keep in touch and know how old friends are.
