Quebec Mural
It's been another lovely day for continuing our exploration of Quebec City: this included a fair bit of walking and the climbing of 398 steps up to The Plains of Abraham where some historic battles took place between the French and the English. On the way there we were impressed with this rather fascinating mural.
Having included an extra of the Chateau Frontenac in yesterday's blip I've included one in the daytime here. The second extra shows an amazing acrobat act which we saw as part of the Thanksgiving Weekend - as you can see he was balancing a ball on a stick balanced on his head while hanging onto the top of a pole with both hands but no legs! Best not to try this at home :-)
And now, with apologies for their lateness -
Silly Saturday Results from 5th October 2024
As always, thanks so much to all you fab blippers who joined in this month’s Silly Saturday challenge. Once more my Editor and I had a great time looking through them and chuckling, sniggering and laughing just as Admirer would have done. And again we had difficulty deciding who should get Hearts and HMs, but we had to make a decision.
So here are our choices, in no particular order.
HEARTS:
Ken Petch - for his googly-eyed Shaggy Inkcap fungi
Fitzbilly – who ever saw a bull sitting on the loo? – and certainly not one reading a book!
Jensphotos – we loved her description of the meaning of those instructions
Marlieske – the gnome couldn’t hear the peacock because of the banana in his ear!
Igor – a new, funny take on the concept of an “avocado bathroom”
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
PinkHairedLady – for problems in the Prosecco Hut
Evolybab – for a weird, frizzy Halloween Cat
Freuchie – for a sign exhorting us not to feed the trees...did I read that right?!
Fotoplay – for a very silly face
GillyS – an easy mistake to make, thinking she’d seen a dragonfly!
