Windermere
The weather forecast for the day did not look good, so a wet weather plan seemed a good idea. I took the four of us to the Jetty Museum beside Lake Windermere mid morning. All went well - they found it fascinating, we had a good lunch, and the weather began to improve.
So much so that I suggested we go up to Tarn Hows for a circular walk around the Tarn. Despite a hailstorm driving there we managed to stay dry on the very blowy but exhilarating walk. A few photos added in extras.
The day was rounded off by an excellent late meal at the Silverdale Hotel. My cold has been manageable, but I was very tired on my return to Holly.
