Craignethan Castle

Took the boys for a day out today. First to Craignethan Castle near Lanark and then to Chatelherault Country Park.

The castle scared the bejesus out of both my boys (they're sensitive souls bless 'em) but they managed to scrape a bit of manly dignity back by insisting on ACDC on full volume all the way to Chatelherault.

They're out now whizzing about on their bikes with their pals. Same routine, every afternoon. I sit in the front garden, book in one hand, cuppa in the other, watching them speed by, watching them fall off their bikes, watching them roll around in supposed agony and then get back on...They're having a great summer. Thank you sunshine! You make all the difference. Think you might be taking a few days off but if you wouldn't mind shining on our camping trip this weekend, I'd be awfie grateful :-)
