Apple Day

Apple day has become an annual event at Lorton School with the main focus being on everyone bringing all their surplus apples and having them pulped and juiced.
Lots of other appley things going on too with apple myth storytelling, Stanger farm's 40 heritage apples on display, apples to take and for sale for those of us not lucky enough to own a tree and decorate-your-own totebag with apple lino prints. Mosser cider and applejuice also on sale.
A great morning's activity.
Not much activity in the afternoon when sailing was cancelled due to only adiabatic air flowing so lightly down the fell sides that an Oppie would have be hard put to make progress let alone the Flying Fifteen I hoped to crew on. Good opportunity to chat and eat picnic lunches looking at the view and discussing America's Cup.
