After picking up some shopping for foodbank and MiL we drove to Sherborne- a beautiful old town not far from us. Today was ‘Pack Monday’. It’s held on the first Monday after Old Michaelmas Day, and it’s a huge street fair with stalls selling everything from pillows to artisan food. A huge combination of everything. It started apparently after the huge Abbey was built as a celebration of all the workers who had created it. We did pop in to the abbey for a few minutes of peace and a couple of minutes after we went in a service started so we stayed and joined in. The whole experience was very different.
