The Cycle Of Life. Lumix M4/3 20mm

This is the background story:  In my efforts to ease myself towards the door, to enter that state called Retirement, I am playing a game of X-Ray Musical Chairs.  The clinical site where I have worked for the last nearly four years, has become increasingly busy since the comeback from Covid.  The workload in Radiology is to the point of being almost at the limit of what one X-Ray tech can accomplish in an eight hour shift.  I can't control the workflow, but I can - and have - cut my hours.  But this involved moving back to the clinical site where my radiography career began in 2007, just a little half-day shift from opening at 08:00, until lunch time.  The current boss lady thought she would easily hire a new tech to take my hours, plus some extra to make a benefited position.  She can't find a soul who wants the job, after a month of advertising.  I said I'd keep one of the days to help her out until somebody else comes along...  That may never happen, but in the meantime, I can suck it up for one day of the week, plus the half.

And now for the Blip story:  Today, I walked into the tech lunch room at the old site, and there, up on the noticeboard, in a delightful display of esprit de corps, was this photograph taken of the whole gang at the 2014 Christmas Party.  We've previously met all the ladies here and here, when C, the boss lady retired in 2022.  It's nice to see myself included in the old photo though, since I'm usually behind the lens.  I photographed it, brought it home, and fed it through PS and Topaz to clean things up a bit. Here we all are, looking like spring chickens.  In the next year or so, we will all be retired, scattered to the winds.
