Rolling the Dice. Leitz Elmar-V 65mm

Many years ago, on a whim, I spent a happy hour making this dice. It juxtaposes the woods, - stinkwood and yellow wood - so commonly used in traditional South African 18th and 19th century furniture.  Quite recently, this little artifact reappeared, just at the time before we must cast the die, and choose the person to fill the most powerful Office in the world - President of the United States.  One would think that the choice would be clear and simple, but the polls say otherwise.  We're on a knife's edge: normalcy on one hand, the hate-filled, divisive rantings of dictators past, on the other. On November 5, we roll the dice, and the world is watching.
