The archway of Yew Trees

Today a trip to the village where we lived as children, Brimpsfield, and a tidy up around the headstone in the church yard of Saint Michael's Parish Church.

I was with J, my sister, her two daughters and two grandchildren, and of course Boo their dog. Initially it felt bizarre to take the children - and a dog - however they loved it and had any number of questions about who, what, when and where, (i'm sure Boo had questions but was too busy sniffing around the grounds). Later another family arrived and it turned out one of the group was a local girl from years ago who went to school with my sister.

It has been a delight to spend time with my sister, her daughters and the great niece and nephew. The children are wonderful, as all children are, entertaining, informative, and so competitive, scary stuff at times.
