Secret Garden

Had a lovely day out with my sister, as always when we get together. We were going to have a sail on the Yorkshire Belle, but there was a heavy sea fret so it would have been pointless. We had a lovely meal on the harbour and enjoyed the views, then took ourselves off up to Sewerby Park to get some photos of the flowers, bugs and beasts.

Sewerby Park is undergoing something of a transformation and we saw that the stable yard and offices are now finished. The house has received a substantial grant to transform it back to it's former glory and an 'Upstairs Downstairs' theme. Can't wait to see that. It is a great place and it'll be so good to see it brought back to its former glory.

This shot was taken in the beautiful rose garden. The gardens are beautifully kept and the Outlook Project (young people with learning difficulties\young offenders) assist with this. They should be very proud.....
