FUMBLE! FUMBLE!

Our team (the Linden Eagles) are in black. with the Flushing Raiders in the white. You can't see the ball. but it behind our #7's right foot. I was real close to the play, close enough that I could see Merrick's (#87) big eyes. He wanted the ball!

It's funny how the play worked out. Our #7 picked up the ball and waltzed into the end zone, and the referee signaled TOUCHDOWN! 6 points for us.

Good thing the ref didn't ask to see my pictures. In my 5-6 shot sequence, it clearly shows #7 did grab the fumbled ball, but his knee was on the ground...thus, he would be down.

What was the final score? We lost again (0-5 now), but it was close. 39-27, and again, our team had several turnovers. Probably 4 fumbles along with 2 interceptions. At any level, you just can't do that and expect to win. One game to go next Tuesday, and the football season will be over.
