The Feast Day of Saint Ignatius of Antioch. Born 50 AD. Died 108 AD.
Saint Ignatius of Antioch was the first person to use the term "catholic", meaning universal, to describe the infant Christian Church.
He is the patron saint of Churches in the Eastern Mediterranean, and Churches in North Africa.

Here in Rishton Blackburn, in the morning it was very sunny and quite cold whereas now at 3pm it is cloudier and not raining.
I cleared up some fallen Cherry tree leaves and put them in our green recycling bin.
I walked to the Rishton Parish Church to take two tins of pineapple for the foodbank
and to pick up a free newsletter.
It has been a good Thursday here.
The two cats are happy and well.
