Day after the rain
It did indeed rain overnight and as luck would have it, today has been lovely :-)
The morning began with a telephone meeting re some help for youngest. This resulted from the cycle ride I had with an old friend last month. I always value a natter with people and appreciate the sharing of experience.
R's wife used to work at a neighbouring council where it turns out one of her old colleagues has moved into a role that we could very much benefit from for advice. She was really helpful and has given us a very useful avenue to pursue.
Following that, several bags of my wardrobe catharsis were dropped at a local charity shop & the rest recycled. Then the car was exchanged for Biscuit for a visit to Stockport, taking a few bits back that were bought in Manchester on Tuesday along with finding some trail running shoes that will be used for walking because creaky knees ;-D
Whilst out Mum asked if I fancy a coffee with her & Dad. We met in nearby Vernon Park and sat outside in the sun. That's where I spotted the strange looking stone bench in my blip. It has four gargoyles & some inscriptions...I could only make out "Crowther's family gift" & "1858".
I have no idea & nor does 'tinternet. Peggy liked it though.
