The beginning of the end
It was a stunningly dramatic sky over the Aegean tonight as Lucy and I (+ Rufus of course) walked to Paşa for dinner. After a warm and sunny day, by sundown it had turned quite cold, and with a ferocious wind that made it impossible to sit outside and so we had our first end of season 'dining indoors' experience.
It had been a busy day. Altan and Zeynep came at 10.30 to drive me and Momma Cat to the veterinerary in Altinkum for vaccination against the awful virus that sadly killed her last remaining kitten Billy a couple of weeks ago. However, the vet advised against it saying that if she already had any antibodies of the virus from close contact with Billy, that an adverse reaction could make matters worse and as a precaution, she would have to be closely observed for three weeks. It was decided that the lesser risk was to leave it, so after parasite treatment we left and drove back to Akbuk via MNG Cargo for me to return an Amazon parcel. By the time we got back to the villa we were all hungry so we had a Pide (Turkish pizza) at Unuvar restaurant. The rest of my afternoon was spent doing I'm not really sure what, until 7pm when, Rufus and I went with Lucy for dinner.
