A New (Old) Car

When we found out that Lisa's sister Dayna's mother-in-law wanted to sell her car, I was interested. Why? Even though it is 22 years old (a 2002 model), it has less than 15,000 miles on it. 

It is a 4-door Ford Taurus, and Dayna's in-laws have had it since it was new, so that I know that it was well looked after. We've waited all Summer to retrieve it, because of our ongoing street construction.

Since we have been van people for SO LONG, it feels strange to stoop down to get into a sedan, but I hope it works out well. It's also the first Ford that we've had in over 50 years. Our first car when we got married in 1973 was a 1968 Ford Fairlane.  Good memories of that car.

I don't usually name my vehicles, but I have decided to call her Winnie, after Dayna's mother-in-law. I hope Winnie is a winner.
