Tin Tabernacles of 2024 #23 and #24

Off early this morning to look for a couple of tin tabernacles in the Kingdom  of Fife. The main is the former Strathmiglo Free Church which became the HQ of Strath Light Engineering. This firm has closed but the building remains in quite decent condition. The woodwork needs some attention but the corrugated iron looks fine.

The extra is an interesting building but so difficult to photograph. It's the St Fillan's Catholic Church in Newport -on-Tay and is still in use. It's a great example of a tin tabernacle but it is really squashed in between other buildings and I have to say they detract from the church. Definitely worth a visit to both and the subsequent walk along the Tay.

Wishing you a good weekend.
