That Gate Again

Friend Angela and I had a torture fitness session this morning and then there was time for a couple of jobs before lunch.  As it's been another lovely day, I decided to make the most of it and take a walk to Coldspring Mill to stock up on wool for the twiddlemuffs I've started on since the nights began to draw in.

I didn't see a soul once I had left the village behind and taken the pretty path which runs halfway up the hillside and away from the 'mad mile' which you can just about see below in my blip.  I'm looking back here as the sun was in my eyes the other way.  The view stretches down to the Aire Valley in the distance and across the way is Goit Stock where the oft blipped waterfalls can be found.  We are truly blessed with lots of smashing walking places.

I managed to work my way through the next village and to the wool shop with just a couple of stretches of road, scoured the sale bins in the mill and came away with a handsome bagful of colours and textures.

Not wishing to walk back the same way I worked out an alternative route which avoided the busy road and returned through Cow House, the chimney field and skimmed above the caravan site, although it's park homes now and caravans no longer.
