Ceramic tile from Triana

I travelled in Andalusia in May 1987 in preparation for a bigger trip to Latin America and because I had nothing else to do. I’d primed myself by reading Laruie Lee’s two Spanish travellogues. In A Rose For Winter he recommends the artisan quarter of Sevilla, called Triana. So I went there. It was full of ceramic stores and in one of them I bought this hand-painted tile. It’s been on display ever since. Moorish tilework in extra shot.
