Hunters' Moon
We failed miserably to see Comet A3 this week, before it disappears for the next 80,000 years. Not for want of trying - we drove to suitably high places twice - but each evening there's been such a thick layer of cloud that, realistically, we didn't stand a chance!
It was a lovely, clear day so we were hopeful of a clear evening and being able to watch the Harvest Moon rise. We drove to a suitable location but it rose beyond a bank of cloud. Eventually the cloud layer dispersed and the moon was visible, though even then there was a very thin layer of wispy cloud in front of it. C'est la vie! (Almost used the view of the moon through the trees (extra) as the main Blip.)
By the time we got home after moon spotting it was a rush to get out again in time for Soul Choir.
