Once upon a time

Day off, up early, remembered the bin man in plenty of time, I was even dressed!
Rest, strolling into town to get bits for dinner, Chrissy scootering, everyone smiling at her, then me.
Getting bits done, mundane, ordinary, wonderful bits,
Laundry, the smell of it,
The ease of the day,
Good company, food and drink, happy kids,
Kittens in the garden,
Trigger herding them, such a good boy.
Beach at sunset, babies splashing, warmth,
Honeysuckle,
Thunder is coming, and a royal baby, aaaahh... babies are good for the soul.
