Working Men's Club
Not a very exciting shot, but it’s the best I could come up with on our walk this afternoon. This building was originally built as a chapel for Independent Wesleyans in 1869 but after they moved to alternative premises the building was bought in 1904 by Mr. J. R. Roberts of Salway House, Woodford Green, who had the building converted into a well-equipped club for men and youths at a cost to himself of over £4,000.
Always known locally as The Working Men’s Club, it was converted to residential accommodation in 2005.
