Muncaster

Having decided not to go away on holiday we decided to take advantage of the one good day forecast for this week and go to Muncaster castle. 
It's not that far but it's a slow road and there was quite a bit of traffic.  But the bright blue sky and spectacular views was wonderful. 

Entrance fee is £16 per person so a bit pricey if you've a dog snd can't go into the Owl centre  or watch the bird display  ., but it was a perfect day weatherwise  and the walks through the extensive grounds are so relaxing.
 
The strong winds 2 days ago meant there were fewer red leaves but it was still a lovely place to walk . 
Lunch outside was pleasant in the warm sun ( no sitting inside with a dog) 
Fletch did well as we did quite a lot of walking and I finally got a photo of a butterfly!
